Oxygen Administration

(1 & 2 Rescuers)

Course Length: 2 � 4 hours
Materials: Canadian Red Cross Oxygen Administration manual.

Course Content:
  • Prerequisite: CPR Level C or Level HCP
  • Breathing devices and suction  
  • Resuscitation masks
  • Bag-valve-masks (BVM) adult, child, and baby
  • Delivery devices
  • Supplemental oxygen

Certification:
  • Wallet size certification card and (optional wall certificates)
  • 3 years or as legislation or employer dictates
Cost:
  • Level A      $50.00 (Adult)
  • Level C      $60.00 (Adult, child, baby)

In this course, participants learn how to operate various oxygen delivery devices, as well as respond to and treat respiratory emergencies. The course is applicable to those who may be required to use oxygen as a first aid skill in the workplace.

Babysitting

�Because caring for children is more than just child's play�

Course Length: 6 � 8 hours
Materials: Canadian Red Cross Babysitting manual.

Course Content:
  • Choking
  • Sprains and Strains
  • Bleeding
  • Poisoning
  • Burns
  • Fire Emergency
  • Feed a baby and/or change a diaper
  • Prepare a simple meal
  • Play games with children of all ages
  • Prevent injuries and keep children safe
  • Handle an emergency if one happens
  • How to cope with common problems, like tantrums and crying
  • What to do if anything makes the babysitter uncomfortable
  • The respective rights and responsibilities of the babysitter and the family doing the hiring

Attention :

City courses

  • Minimum of 10 people and max of 50 people per class
  • Group rate once 15 or more people attend a class
  • Last minute course cancellation fee will apply when canceling less the 24 hour before class begins.

  • Minimum of 12 people and max of 50 people per class
  • No group rates for out of town courses.

  • Accommodation will be covered and arranged by the hiring organization.
